The Father of the Air Force, Billy Mitchell

He was one of the most highly decorated pilots of the United States in World War I, all while running all air operations in the European theatre. He is credited with building America's military air service. He predicted that the Japanese would attack Pearl 1924. He was drummed out of the military in a kangaroo court over the objections of Eddie Rickenbacker, Hap Arnold, Carl Spaatz and Fiorello La Guardia. He was the Father of the Air Force: Billy Mitchell.
